Cyrus Parker-Jeannette. Throughout his training, he has worked with renowned choreographers, such as David Parsons, Doug Varone, Robert Battle, Tiffany Billings, Cyrus Parker Jeannette, Sean Greene, Nancy Dickson-Lewis, Jenny Backhaus and Amy Bates. Upon his graduation from Chapman University, he received the Fannie Kalis Award, a prestigious award given to the graduating seniors, for his contribution in dance.
Lü has served as a guest teacher and featured artist for the Codarts, Holland Dance Festival, Brigham Young University, McCallum Theater, California Dance Educators Conference, Teen Dance Company of San Jose, Northern California Dance Conservatory, Mt. San Antonio College and numerous regional dance schools and colleges. In 2002, he received national recognition for his choreographic work Mon Prison Ma Chambre, for which he received the Engman Award at Palm Desert's notable Dance Under the Stars Choreography Festival. His works have been presented at prominent venues, such as the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and McCallum Theatre.
Lü was a founding member of Backhausdance for 7 years. His credits include a lead in Yo-yo Ma's music video and Tiffany Billings’ Blind Faith. William has also performed with De Dutch Don't Dance Division, Helios Dance Theater, and Regina Klenjoski Dance Company. He was named as one of "Best Male Dancers” by the Beverly Hills Outlook in 2004 and 2007. Orange County Register raved him as “a risk taker” and “a class of his own.” And, he has received 2 Lester Horton Awards for his performances with Backhausdance.
